Global Field Operations exists to support Supply Chain/Procurement and Programs across all business units within Boeing in resolving supplier performance related issues.

We are recruiting for a Global Field Operation Representative to join the regional Supplier Management Team. The position is hybrid located working across the Gloucestershire & Worcestershire regions. The position will be responsible for leading statements of work with regional partners, providing validation & insights to the health of Boeing supply chain production systems, supporting our various Programs acting as conduits between suppliers and our Production Operations.

This role would suit someone based in the South Midlands or Gloucestershire region who is willing to travel regularly across the region. This role involves up to 50 travel across our supply chain, alongside a hybrid, work from home policy with regular regional reviews at Boeing locations across England.

Applicants will need to pass through BPSS security clearance if they don’t possess BPSS

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor emergent offload/overload suppliers including structures, systems, PCBA, surface treatment processors, machine shop and sheet metal fabrications to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity

  • Identify, establish and maintain priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and repeatability issues) to ensure contractual compliance

  • Drive a proactive culture within the supply chain production system, influencing best practices and highlighting risk and opportunity with effective mitigation plans

  • Communicate across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns

  • Co-facilitate with the supplier, the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements

  • Identify needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g. Requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance

  • Participate with the procurement agent & other cross functional team members in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy

  • Monitor suppliers performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent

  • Identify and communicate opportunities to implement new processes or improve existing processes and report back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent

  • Assess supplier resource plan and report results to supervisor/procurement agent

  • Support work movement as requested by supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Project Management capabilities able to communicate articulately to all stakeholders through various forms of media.

  • Must be able to work across a multi-Functional Boeing Team with proven success.

  • Able to foster and develop strong working relationships with internal and supplier stakeholders.

  • Capable of interpreting performance related data in order to drive appropriate strategies.

  • Knowledge of Lean principles and Tools and Processes and how to apply them in work environments.

  • Knowledge of the procurement process used at company sites in order to track procurement obligations such as, schedule compliance, quantity and past performance.

  • Knowledge of government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing objectives including supply base optimization, enterprise leveraging, supplier performance improvement and business considerations to develop the companys supplier base.

  • Knowledge of supplier assessment processes including Preferred Supplier Certification and Work Transfer Process.

  • Fluency in English Language.

  • Valid work authorization for United Kingdom.

  • Must be able to travel.

  • Knowledge of Boeing Problem Solving Model.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g.Master or equivilant+ reasonable related work experience, significant related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
