Phantom Works, Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s (BDS) advanced research, development and prototyping division is looking for a Program Financial Analyst (Experienced or Senior) to join our team in Kent, WA or El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and independently lead integration and analysis of resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions, or pools
  • Lead or consult on the development of performance reports
  • Independently lead integration of variance analyses and provide understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management
  • Make recommendations to senior management on financial performance and projections using extensive financial knowledge and experience
  • Lead or consult on the development of cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses
  • Lead, analyze, and present cases using appropriate indices to improve profitability and shareholder value
  • Consult on requirements definition and deployment of common systems, tools, processes, and training to improve resource and/or business planning processes

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in a finance related position such as financial operations, cost management, accounting, estimating, financial planning, contracts, or procurement financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience using Deltek Cobra or similar Earned Value Management software
  • Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion
  • Experience with COGNOS, COBRA and other accounting systems containing historical cost data.
  • Experience with financial planning processes and tools

Typical Education & Experience:

Experience (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years related work experience, 14 years related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 5)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years related work experience, 19 years related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range Experienced (Level 3): $85,000 - $115,000

Summary pay range Senior (Level 4): $106,250 - $143,750

Summary pay range Senior (Level 5): $127,500 - $172,500
