Aircraft Cabinet Maker and Finisher Sr.- Arizona

Under general supervision, fabricates complex cabinets and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for installation in aircraft. Assists leads by overseeing projects and providing guidance, assistance, and training to co-workers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Fabricates complex high-quality furniture and other wood-surfaced sub-assemblies using a variety of shop equipment and hand tools.
• Interprets material specifications and design/engineering drawings to ensure finished products meet design and engineering requirements with a high level of quality and detail. Coordinates with supervision to ensure compliance with customer-approved design samples.
• Utilizes the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and sign off completed work.
• Complies with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, uses personal protective equipment; ensures aircraft interior is protected.
• Assists in the development and implementation of related initiatives.

Additional Functions:

• Accepts lead responsibilities when required, mentors and trains lesser skilled technicians.
• Oversees projects and coordinates with the lead to delegate tasks to assigned technicians.
• The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be computer literate.

• High school diploma/GED.
• Minimum 4 years experience in cabinet making.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
