Summary and Objective
Aircraft Interior Finisher 1 inspect, remove, and install pieces or sections of an aircrafts interior, including carpeting, soundproofing, cabinets, lighting, and walls. This position is for a highly energetic individual with good people skills and decision-making metrics.
Essential functions

- Work from noncomplex blueprints, specifications, worksheet, dimensions, color codes, mixing charts, tables, verbal, and written instructions/specifications.
- Prepare and clean items, surfaces to be finished.
- Prepare, mask, sand, buff, repair, and polish aircraft cabinets.
- Use of bondo and glue.
- Spraying polyester, polyurethane, and clear coats.
- Knowledge of paints and being able to mix properly (solvent base, water base, clear coats).
- Knowing how to do touch ups inside the aircraft in a timely manner.
- Leather seat prepping, cleaning, and dying.
- Ability to work with and understand Corridor.
- Cleaning and maintenance of spray application equipment, booths, filters, PPE, and other equipment to established practices.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to complete and maintain records.
Supervisory responsibilities
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
- While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noise levels both inside and outside the hangar.
- Possible exposure to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud noises including airplane machinery and jet engines.
Physical demands
- Must be able to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions and spaces.
- Must be able to perform work on scaffolding or ladders.
- Must be able to frequently lift and pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Manual dexterity and physical strength are necessary to operate tools and/or make adjustments and repairs.
- Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.
- The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be 8-12 hours)

Travel required
Required education and experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-5 years’ experience with sanding, prepping, cleaning, spraying, and dying required.
- 1-5 years’ experience with mixing, paint, solvents required.
- The ability to read measurements, work or calculate numbers, use handheld tools, including but not limited to handheld pallet jacks, pneumatic staple guns, industrial hot glue guns, and power drills.
Preferred education and experience
- Its preferred that you have at least 3 years of experience with corporate business jets or show that you have the knowledge and skills needed to do the job.
- Corridor experience preferred.
