Position Summary:

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Windsor Locks, CT that is a world leading manufacturer of business aircraft with a global network of service centers. They are committed to building their products with the future in mind – making them reliable and more efficient, while contributing to highly favorable operating costs. They masterfully design private jets and signature moments through an extensive portfolio of innovative products. The facility has received 21 consecutive FAA Diamond Awards and is actively involved in the Hartford community, spearheading programs to create awareness about aviation maintenance among local students and to help close the gender gap in the industry. We are looking for skilled Master Seat Builder to assist with this clients production needs. 


Essential Functions:

  • Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
  • Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform work in a safe and timely manner
  • Fabricate / install / refurbish / modify / aircraft interior equipment and furnishings
  • Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
  • Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations
  • Perform assigned duties as assigned
  • May assist with maintenance at off-site locations
  • Clean aircraft as required
  • Assist with other maintenance disciplines
Requirements
  • You have experience building aircraft seats (and/or luxury automobile and/or boat seats)
  • You typically have interiors experience on aircraft upholstery (ex. previous soft goods experience, upholstery experience remove & installs in aircraft)
  • You have demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • You have demonstrated ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings - preferred
  • You have basic PC skills - preferred
  • You have demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status - preferred
