Upholstery Technician II

Under minimal supervision, the Upholstery Technician II will fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and create simple patterns for aircraft interiors based on design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications. Key responsibilities include working with various materials such as fabric, vinyl, and leather hides; using adhesives, sewing equipment, and various power tools; and cutting and surging carpets. Technicians will also engage in metal part fabrication, panel fitting, and window installation. Additionally, they will utilize a material tracking system for parts demand, work tracking, and sign-off.

Hard Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
• Proficiency in using measuring tools and performing basic math computations
• Computer literacy

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language proficiently
• Ability to work collaboratively with leads and other technicians

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Los Angeles, California.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work any shift, any day. The environment is a service center that is fast-paced and deadline-intensive. Appropriate attire is required, including company-provided uniforms. Candidates must provide their own steel-toe boots and prescription safety glasses, if needed.
