Summary of job description
The Planner-Buyer ensures:
- Optimize the planning activities for each supplier under his or her responsibility.
- Manage top impacting suppliers.
- Develop and execute plans that will help improving the commodity KPI’s.
- Establish and prioritize the actions required to ensure that all aspects associated to their assigned vendors meets the business needs.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the business best practices trends and cultural nuances to always seek to deliver performance in line with the end customer expectations.
- Direct multi-disciplinary teams to improve specific elements related to Supply Chain Management performance (Ex: COLO, transaction reduction, new product introduction, etc.)
Minimum required qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Operations and Production Management or Industrial Engineering combine with minimum 1 year of pertinent experience.
- The candidate must demonstrate the following competencies:
- Demonstrate ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems.
- Identify problems root causes and deploy sustainable and effective solutions.
- Demonstrate understanding of the objectives and processes needed for collaborative planning.
- Show a positive impact on cross-functional business performance.
- Demonstrate high priority setting skills.
- Demonstrate drive for results and customer focus.
- Understand end-to-end business processes.
- Excellent command of French is required
- Excellent command of English is required for this position, as it involves communication in English with Bell teams outside of Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside of Quebec.
