Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for an 8-month Aftermarket Supply Chain Intern to join our Aftermarket Supply Chain team. This is an on-site role located in Calgary, AB.

 

Profile:

Reporting to one of the various departments across Planning, Purchasing, Materials Management, Warranty, Logistics, Project Management or Distribution,  the Internee could be engaged in executing global shipments, reaching out to suppliers for quotes, creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers, assisting with data management and reporting on inventory planning side, assisting NCR burndown and executing distribution orders, reconciling and processing freight invoices, moving shipments, assisting in inventory count coordination and taking care of other administrative tasks as assigned.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

These may depend upon the department assigned:

  • Executing global shipments to and from all depots and entities worldwide 
  • Reconciliation of freight invoices and timely processing of freight payments
  • Reaching out to suppliers for quotes and inquiries 
  • Creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers
  • Following up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Assisting in inventory cycle count coordination and reporting 
  • Assisting in stock replenishment for distribution centers 
  • Assisting in NCR burndown and related reporting 
  • Coordinating the project requirements internally and externally 
  • Assisting with data management activities on planning side 

 

Business Reporting:

  • Weekly / monthly updates on all key aspect of responsibilities defined above

Education & Experience:

  • Available to work from May 2024 to December 2024
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, or similar program
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven problem solver and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Collaborative team-player with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach
  • A passion for and a demonstrated commitment to extra-curricular activities and/or community involvement

  • Willingness to adapt to changing business culture
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
