The Buyer will executes the buy plan per MRP recommendations to support internal customers in a fast paced production environment. They will support requisitioned material requests as appropriate. The buyer will be responsible for acquiring, purchasing, and negotiating materials, equipment and supplies for requisitioned material. Negotiations with different vendors to obtain price quotations, prices, and delivery times, as well as reviewing and recommending changes to procurement processes and procedures where applicable. They will also oversee records and processes in the department to ensure accuracy and follow through, and controls annual purchases over $2.5 million.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports internal customers executing MRP buys, MR’s as requested. Ensuring material delivers timely for production.
  • Basic understanding of planning and ability to ensure system requests are valid.
  • Ability to research or review history and apply or modify to future activities where needed.
  • Manages incoming materials PO’s to support production and Inventory level objectives.
  • Manages MRP exceptions to support business objectives.
  • Follows up on PO’s with suppliers as needed - communicates exceptions/problems with Operations and production.
  • Works collaboratively with team to solve problems, improve processes.
  • Has continuous improvement approach.
  • Supports safety and quality initiatives as needed.
  • Complies with company SOX requirements.
  • Contributes to cost reduction plans.
  • Coordinates purchasing activities with other departments to ensure company objectives are adhered to, including but not limited to maintaining appropriate inventory levels, proper authorization of purchases, buy plans are accurate and account distribution is proper.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Supply Chain preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Has the ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrates efficient communication and negotiating skills.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $58,500 to $80,400 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
