The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Supply Chain Specialist (Level 3) to support the C-17 program located at Scott AFB, IL.

This is a customer liaison position located in the Air Force Sustainment Center, 635th Supply Chain Operations Group, Scott AFB, Illinois.

Assists in analyzing post production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities. Analyzes material location and initiates redistribution action. Leads and/or supports and analyzes supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performs assessment of configuration change impact to supply support system. Reviews applicability of warranties to allocate costs. Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies. May lead and administer post production requests for quotes containing long lead times, high value and/or lengthy bills of material. May lead activities for economy of purchases. May Lead or support monitoring of customer allocation and delivery schedules and projections for significant customers. May initiate recommendations for repair sourcing decisions. May oversee the processing and documentation of repair items and warranties. May conduct supplier/customer presentations and program

Position Responsibilities:

  • Determine current and future spare requirements by analyzing stock balance, past consumption rates, and reliability and maintainability information.

  • Work with product Asset Managers in monitoring and assessing level setting

  • Also responsible for data entry into automated systems to ensure parts availability

  • Will be responsible to coordinate daily tasks with the on-site team to align priorities for smooth operation of workloads

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. confidential Pre Start and final U.S. confidential clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 4 – 6  years of experience in aerospace, supply chain, and logistics

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Word

  • Ability to travel 10 of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Associates Degree / Bachelor Degree

  • C-17 Supply Chain experience

  • USAF Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) via Integrate Logistics Solution-Supply (ILS-S) experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $80,750 -$109,250
