StandardAero is looking for a Calibration Technician to conduct tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance on aviation specific items.  Perform job functions under limited supervision in laboratory, production area, clean room and test environments.  Support new projects by troubleshooting, inspecting and repair test and measurement equipment.

As a Calibration Technician, you’ll 

• Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications 
• Have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance techniques interpreting blueprints.
• Determine the kind of measurement tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on equipment and determine when and what kind of calibration and maintenance is needed.
• Determine causes of measurement errors and decide what to do about the situation.
• Apply measurement science principles to specific problems to produce answers.
• Create and modify calibration procedures by determining metrology requirements.
• Perform calibrations and measurements traceable to the International System of Units using appropriate reference standards.
• Work with equipment users, engineers and other technicians in the proper operation and selection of test and measurement equipment.
• Choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
• Any additional tasks assigned by management in support of the position or company’s needs.
• Be compliant with safety procedures and policies.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED and technical school or equivalent military training (metrology and mechanical inspection a plus)
• 1-2 years of related experience
• Microsoft Suite; typing
• Proficient with the English language to interpret and follow various technical data.

Preferred Qualifications 

•  ASQ Certified Calibration Technician and ASQ Certified Quality Inspector rating 

Salary Range: 

$27.51- 41.54 per hour

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, StandardAero considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
