Wyman-Gordon: Wyman-Gordon is a worldwide supplier to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets. We hold quality accreditations for all of the major airframe and engine manufacturers for both civil and military applications. Wyman-Gordon creates rotating closed-die forgings which are critical for aerospace and land-based gas turbines. Wyman-Gordon also manufactures structural forgings for airframe, nuclear, petrochemical, power generation, and space applications.

Location Profile:

Located in Irvine, CA, PCC Rollmet specializes in development and manufacture of Defense and Missile related products. Operations at the Irvine location include: Internal and external pipe extrusions, CNC Machining, manual machining, EB Welding, quality inspection, Heat Treating, and NDT.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Machine complex production part features with very small margin for error.
Create simple and complex tooling as necessary.
Fully perform advanced setups on mills and or lathes.
Machine all types of common aerospace materials without assistance.
Provide training and assistance to lower level conventional machinists as necessary.
Support the site with the highest risk one off rework operations when necessary.
Assist in developing new conventional machining processes for new product.
Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

Advanced ability to read prints and perform mechanical inspections
Leadership and mentoring abilities and willing to train other employees as needed
Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
Strong attention to detail and experience in advanced detailed machining

Required Experience:

This position typically requires evidence of at least six years of experience machining in the aerospace industry in addition to the other machining competencies described above.
7+ years of experience

Level of Education:

GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
NIMS Certification desired but not required.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25 to $38 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
