Inventory Control Specialist: Off-Shift

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the organizations inventory and supplies used in the Operation while maintaining accurate record of all procurements.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limits as inventory dwindles.
  • Responsible for supplying all plant employees with the required supplies.
  • Assess inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
  • Will gather and build supply orders for other facilities.
  • Responsible for cycle counts of supply store items in order to track inventory.
  • Will maintain supply store inventory levels and replenish storage areas as needed.
  • Coordinate with delivery drivers on incoming shipments.
  • Work closely with Purchasing department to maintain proper supply levels and coordinate supplier lists.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Problem solving and ability to coordination inventory control program.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within plans set forth by Purchasing and Operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Computer skills including spreadsheet and production planning and tracking applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute programs.
  • Proven ability to work hands-on with the team to achieve objectives.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry.

Experience & Education

  • Prefer at least 1 year of inventory control, warehouse or supply store experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse facility.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
