What are your contributions to the team?
- Set objectives for the team based on the Procurement balanced scorecard and lead team through monthly KPI governance to ensure target achievements
- Prioritize resource allocation and team support in order to maximize overall benefits to the program
- Work closely with cross-functional leadership within the Global, Challenger and Learjet programs and the procurement leadership teams
- Complete performance evaluation and personal development plans with team members
- Coach and develop team members
- Develop and manage performance management plans
- Create formal networks internally and externally
- Complete sourcing activities for the program and manage strategic initiatives for revenue growth in the Afterspanet
- Oversee supplier management throughout the product development phases
- Manage product changes with our suppliers
- Oversee operational escalations internal partners within the Afterspanet
- Oversee contractual and commercial negotiations with suppliers, including the agreements with new vendors for maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities
- Support the implementation of strategies to minimize Afterspanet costs for parts and services, including the recuperation of overspend and the addition of parts under contract
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelors degree in engineering, business/management, supply chain management or similar. Holding additional education or professional certifications would be an asset, e.g. MBA
- You must have at least ten (10) years of direct experience, with at least two (2) years managing a team as a line leader. Additional experience is welcome
- You must have negotiation experience; capable of establishing logical arguments and finalizing agreements
- You have strong capabilities in operational, commercial and financial management
- You have proven experience in complex project management
- You are recognized for your leadership and innovation, and have a proven track record in coordinating and managing a team
- You demonstrate the Bombardier leadership competencies (providing direction, leading change, driving performance, developing high-performing teams, and engendering confidence and trust)
- You are comfortable with complex technical topics, and have knowledge of legal terminology and interpretation of contracts
- You are familiar with aircraft design, configuration, certification and change management principles
- You have experience working in the Afterspanet or in Post-Production environments
- You are detail oriented, focused, rigorous and committed to meeting deadlines
- You have a high proficiency and are a good communicator in French and English (written and spoken)
- You show that you have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office environment with knowledge of MS Project
- You are able to work on site at one of our Montreal-based facilities at least three days per week and in accordance with our Flexible Work Policy
- You are able to travel for work occasionally, both nationally and internationally, when needed
