Summary:
To provide manual handling of goods, products, objects and materials (vehicle loading/unloading, sorting, cleaning, etc.) in accordance with all safety rules. To carry out simple operations (physical inventory, packing, etc.) using handling equipment and machinery (lift table, hand truck, cages, hoists, straps, etc.) not requiring a drivers permit (pallet truck, etc.).
Scope of Activities
To carry out some or all of the following activities:
- Load and unload goods and products
- Load packages and move them to the shipping, storage or production area
- Store products or goods by validity date and storage conditions
- Conduct an inventory
- Identify the characteristics of goods
- Operate machinery requiring a permit (forklift truck, trailer tugs, gantry cranes, etc.)
- Check the operating and safety status of the production facilities and equipment
- List and report any faults detected to your line manager
- Keep working areas clean and tidy, and take care of the equipment provided to ensure that the working environment remains safe
