This role requires the successful candidates to take responsibility for the maintenance and certification of A320/321 CEO, NEO and A330 aircraft. Materials Coordinator

Your role

As a Materials Co-Ordinator in the Maintenance and Engineering Department the successful applicants will have to prioritise and co-ordinate the materials supply and stores support function to satisfy aircraft AOG (Aircraft On Ground) and DDR (Deferred Defect Rectification) material requirements in order to minimise aircraft technical delays and improve the technical dispatch reliability of the fleet located at all stations. This is an important role within the M & E Department to ensure the minimisation of aircraft technical delays and improve the technical dispatch reliability of the fleet located at all stations.

  • Manage the daily issues in the materials working environment and prioritise as necessary.
  • Monitor and manage on the day AOG activities.
  • Prepare for and represent Materials and attend the daily technical delays meeting.
  • Manage and control all spares required for heavy maintenance checks.
  • Develop and improve the processes in supporting line station spares requirements and demands.
  • Establish relationships with vendors in support of material procurement and logistics activity.

 

Your qualifications and key criteria

We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:

  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and commitment while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude to change.
  • Well –developed computer skills and in-depth knowledge of AMOS with the ability to analyse and interpret data for management reporting.
  • Detailed knowledge of the procurement process and policies with regards to the sourcing of required aircraft spares and negotiating best value for money for Aer Lingus supported by expertise in identifying best logistical solution at minimal cost to address AOG or critical spare requests.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Able to pass a 5-year security background check*(or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin).
  • Ability to work 24/7 shift.
