Summary

Performs key revert application, incoming and outgoing disposition while working with division material buyers and other TIMET sites to ensure revert control at Henderson. Acts as the subject matter expert for the site in pre-production materials and planning while also leading functional and cross-functional teams to ensure Henderson&39;s material usage/application requirements to meet or exceed budgetary requirements. Helps solve complex problems and provides leadership at all levels of the organization with the aim of achieving site goals including EBIT and Operating Working Capital.

Essential Functions

Manage Henderson&39;s pre-production supply base to ensure Henderson has the best and correct blends of raw and scrap materials with regards to meeting production needs, RMS standards, and material usage needs.

Manage sponge and revert delivery, storage, identification, and inventory usage of materials while providing direction to the Pre-Melt Operations.

Key player in providing management guidance on market conditions and function as the subject matter expert on inventory and purchasing strategies for sponge and revert.

Strive to ensure proper materials mixes are utilized commensurate with market conditions.

Build and manage relationships with TIMET&39;s raw material suppliers.

Lead functional and cross-functional.

Act as a liaison for Scrap Return Programs for TIMET in conjunction with the Commercial department

Educate raw materials generators on best practices in scrap segregation, packaging, and logistics.

Support raw material qualification processes, introducing new suppliers, and improving the current supply base.

Update TIMET Raw Material Specifications (RMS) as needed.

Inspect incoming revert for acceptance against RMS and assist Quality w/ inspection of raw materials.

Manage all functional aspects of raw materials purchasing for the Henderson facility, including scrap, sponge, and alloys, from order placement through delivery and correspondence.

Collect, analyze, and maintain raw material statistics at the Henderson level.

Coordinate the outside conversion of oversized material for consumption in the Bulk-Weld electrode fabrication.

Responsible for managing the Material Review Board (MRB) to ensure timely disposition of non-conforming material and secondary product stream.

Investigate OOS/OOC ingots made from the BW process.

Working with Quality and Division Procurement, conduct audits of suppliers and perform annual review of supply base.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform Quality Assurance Audits and assist with Plant 6S and ZDP objectives at all levels.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

BS degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Business

15+ years related Ti or other metal experience dealings with raw materials.

15+ years knowledge of Ti raw materials and melt processes.
