ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Be responsible as a planning representative, to perform work center prioritizing per planning build plans and related planning/inventory activity to ensure timely and efficient completion of parts and assemblies within assigned manufacturing area including machinery fabrication, machine shop, assembly, tooling or processing operations. Utilize a broad knowledge of inventory shop order related activity together with a working knowledge of shop operations and procedures. Ensure that parts move between work centers and all inventory transactions are completed prior to movement. This includes material/component issues, scrap, split orders and cross functional communication.
Assist in work order planning releases to build and maintain the revenue build plans in conjunction with the planning analysts, identify tasks to be performed, establish method for task completion, identify material, equipment, supplies and personnel required, and to provide schedules and controls necessary to complete production operations.
Follow detail schedules (build plans) for fabrication of parts and assemblies in assigned area. Order and direct movement of materials, documentation, gages, supplies and tooling to provide for timely production task completion. Determine station workload and adjust schedules in light of production progress, part priority, material availability, equipment utilization and labor supply to maintain even overall load distribution. Handle schedule change processing including adjustment of order priorities, splitting orders, part reallocation or material substitutions.
Elevate issues related problems with concerned personnel in manufacturing, methods engineering, planning, engineering, quality control or tooling to discover possible remedial actions where above-average poise, tact and skill are required.
Assist in purchasing escalations of raw material and finished goods to ensure continuous workflow with outside processing vendors and receiving.
Assist in maintenance of the raw material bar yard, including organization and movement of all raw material bars in support of expediting parts in the shop.
Active participation in working with operation and supply chain work center owners to provide status online of Balance escalations from high priority customers, providing daily updates to the Supply Chain Manager.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple.
