Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Quality Production Specialists to join the Quality Team located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The Quality Production Specialist develops and administers the quality system that ensures and manages the integrity of company products and services related to all models. The individual will perform material review board approval and disposition responsibilities. In this role, the candidate will collaborate and communicate with internal and external partners, including program executives, track and respond to supplier communication, and support program integration review meetings.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.

  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations.

  • Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

  • Trains and mentors’ fellow employees in the Quality Management System

  • Performs root cause analysis on the non-conformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence.

  • Develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution.

  • Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.

  • Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution.

  • Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and effectively ensures completion.

  • Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of non-conformance hardware products/processes.

  • Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver the software products.

  • Develops software system processes to support changing industry standards.

  • Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.

  • Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation.

  • Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution.

  • Works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3&43; years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or another regulated industry

  • 3&43; years conducting quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments.

  • 3&43; years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality.

  • 3&43; years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).

  • Material Review Board Designee (MRBD) authority or ability to obtain within 6 months

  • Ability to work any shift.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree

  • Experience working with Velocity and CMES.

  • Experience on the 787 program

  • Experience in Product Data Manager, Computer Aided Process Planning with fabrication detail planning in Assembly Detail Process Plans, Velocity, and Enterprise Resource Planner

  • Experience working directly with suppliers.

  • Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment

  • A&P certificate

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor&43;1 years related work experience, 5 years related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $83,300 – $112,700.
