The Shipping Stock Clerk will handle and package material in accordance with IATA and DOT specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•tResponsible for packing and labeling non-hazardous materials in a suitable strong outer container. Sufficient cushioning/dunnage shall be used inside the container to prevent damage from occurring to contents during transit.
•tResponsible for packing and labeling hazardous materials in accordance with the IATA/DOT regulations.
•tResponsible for processing al shipments by verifying that the material that appears on the sales order pick list is in their possession and following all detailed shipping instructions that are indicated on the sales order.
•tIssues all documents necessary for transportation of the product, (i.e., packing list, invoices, restricted article documents) shall be affixed to all packages prior to shipment.
•tAdheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture,
•tRegular, predictable attendance is required;
•tOther duties may be assigned.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of customers or employees of an organization.
•\tMathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Education and/or Experience
•\tOne year certificate from college or technical school or 3-6 months related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills
•\tAbility to operate specific equipment or tools.
•\tAbility to use a computer.
•\tAbility to work with specific computer software.
•\tFamiliarity with industry terminology.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
•\tOne year certificate from college or technical school.
