This Data Scientist position is in support of Corporate Supply Chain Operations. The individual must have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, tackling both technical and business challenges in collaboration with cross-functional counterparts across the Enterprise. This position will require an understanding of the trade space that exists at the intersection of business process and technical implementation.

The selected individual will be responsible for the following:

• Build, test, and implement models, tools and validation processes to help Lockheed Martin distill complex data into actionable insights that drive operational strategic initiatives.
• Discover insight and identify opportunities by applying statistical, visualization, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
• Develop technical roadmap based on stakeholders and customer requirements.
• Understanding the tool stack and architecture of products and platforms to highlight gaps and opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques
• Experience with the application of statistics and data-mining in a business environment
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or ggplot
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Demonstrated examples of working with business partners to deliver a solution that meet project objectives (requirements generation, functional specification generation to project execution)
• Skilled at managing competing priorities; ability to find the appropriate balance of meeting urgent business needs along with ongoing organizational support
• Able to appropriately communicate findings and data visualization from a complex analysis in a clear and concise manner at levels appropriate for various audiences
• Strong understanding of traditional business intelligence and data warehousing concepts (ETL, data modeling, and reporting)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of SAP ERP Systems, Applications and Processes and data constructs, as it applies to Procurement.
• Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data
• Ability to work alone and in teams in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Ability to coordinate efforts across multiple technical teams.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $107,400 - $202,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $93,400 - $179,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
