How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Training Technician – CNC Technician will report to the Manager - IFS Mock-Up Shop and collaborate with a team of technicians, curriculum designers, instructors, subject-matter experts, staff and suppliers to design, manufacture and maintain aircraft mock-up training devices. This is an IFS Learning position which provides operational support for IFS, Flight Operations, ACS and TechOps training while performing scheduled and non-routine maintenance, ensuring equipment is operating properly and documentation procedures are followed in compliance with the FAA-regulated Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) standards. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented, hands-on, operational and project-driven position with up to eight to ten hours per day spent working while standing. This role practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.Responsibilities include:Completely and independently sets up and operates Computerized Numerical Controlled (CNC) equipment, 3D Printers, Thermoform machines, 3-Axis Mills and Conventional equipment to perform complex or precision operations in accordance with repair requirementsEnsures operation of machinery. This includes completing preventative maintenance on the machinesMust be proactive towards learning needed software/SOJT training processMaintaining emergency evacuation equipment for a dynamic and fast-paced, hands-on training operation, while providing daily operational support for IFS, Flight Operations, ACS and TechOpsPerforming other operational functions, including, but not limited to, ordering, shipping and receiving materials and confirming scheduled maintenance is accomplished, equipment is operating properly and documentation procedures are followed in compliance with AQP standards put forth by the Voluntary Safety Programs (AFS-230) branch of the FAAInspecting all training devices on a defined schedule to ensure optimized device performance and operational efficiencyTroubleshooting daily mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment, as well as specialized software to ensure efficient operation of devices required for regulatory training to minimize the scheduling impact of the airline operationCompleting detailed and comprehensive maintenance logs and reports.
