The Role
The Director of Maintenance will ensure all maintenance operations are conducted safely and in compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations, Operational Specifications, Company Manuals & policies. Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintain our current fleet of Bombardier Challenger, Gulfstream IV, Hawker 800XP, and Global XRS
  • Oversee all maintenance programs, inspections, analytics, projections, coordination, and project management for our fleet
  • Work productively with aircraft crew members to support the company mission 
  • Maintain and adjust daily workflow for proper decision-making on maintenance-related resources for the assigned aircraft
  • Coordinate moderate and heavy maintenance in efficient intervals to optimize aircraft dispatchability, planning with the crew and aircraft management team
  • Work with the Chief Inspector to support QA
  • Establish an environment and expectations where comments, concerns, and suggestions by personnel will be handled and shared with the aircraft management team
  • Establish and maintain records as required by FARs, manufacturer, and company policies
  • Ensure high levels of customer service by maintenance staff
  • Become familiar with and improve vendor/supplier relationships, contract, and oversee our Material Support Team
  • Maintain high morale through an awareness of company policies and procedures
  • Act as leader in department meetings fostering the best practices in communication of ideas, goals, and objectives
  • Be onsite when needed to oversee the repair of our fleet or aircraft acquisitions
  • Review vendor invoices and close out work orders in a timely manner
  • Provide long term maintenance projections and communicate to the aircraft management team
  • Act as liaison with safety organizations on matters of industry safety
  • Report safety hazards utilizing Wyvern system to identify and mitigate
  • Approve time sheets for maintenance / parts staff
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Must be experienced with FAA Part 91, Part 135 9 or less, & Part 135 10 or more operations
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience (A&P)
  • Must possess and maintain a current and valid US-issued FAA A&P Certificate, IA preferred
  • Possess a minimum or 10 years of A&P- related duties with experience in maintaining Gulfstream, Challenger 601, Hawker 800XS, Global XRS
  • Minimum of five years supervisory or managerial experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and tasks to meet company requirements
  • Able and willing to travel for all aircraft maintenance events not completed at home base
  • Willingness to work sometimes irregular hours to get the job completed
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication
  • Have excellent interpersonal and management skills
  • Possess calmness under pressure with professionalism and service to clients and colleagues
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Bend and reach
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, calculators, telephone, and other office equipment
  • Conduct repairs and troubleshooting on aircraft
