Job Description:

Win Aviation has exciting opportunities for A&P mechanics/technicians at our DeKalb, IL facility, to join our maintenance team to professionally maintain our fleet of turbo-prop aircraft.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Under minimal supervision, perform maintenance, IAW FAR’s, OEM Manuals, and Company Procedures.
  • Perform aircraft upgrades and modifications IAW approved data
  • Complete all necessary paperwork IAW Company, OEM and FAA requirements
  • Operate and maintain general aircraft maintenance equipment and tools, incl. tugs, forklift, scissor lift, GPUs.
  • Maintain work area, equipment, tools and vehicles in clean and safe working condition
  • Troubleshoot, disassemble,  clean, inspect, repair, and return to service of components
  • Supervise and assist non-licensed apprentices as needed
  • Contribute to culture of Safety – Actively participate in the Safety Management System

  • No shift work! Work hours are from 8am - 5pm with an hour lunch break, for a total of 40 hours-work week
Job Requirements:

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with SD3-Sherpa, SC-7 Skyvan, Casa C-212 and DHC-6 Twin Otter, Caravan, Kodiak and King Air
  • Experience with PT6A and TPE331 turboprop engines
  • 2+ years of recent maintenance experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License, or working towards certification.
  • Must pass initial and random drug and alcohol tests
  • Willingness to travel for work
  • Willingness to work overtime during the week or on weekends, on occasion
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Valid drivers license
  • Must own toolbox with basic aviation hand tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, continually utilize hand, and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional exposure to weather conditions, incl. extreme heat and cold
Salary Range: $25/Hr-$45/Hr DOE
Relocation: 1500.00
