JOB DESCRIPTION


Job Title: A&P Mechanic

Department: Hangar Maintenance

Reports To:  Maintenance Manager

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct maintenance and quality checks on commercial aircraft to ensure airworthiness, safety, and reliability in a timely manner, including but not limited to: Removing and installing landing gear, engines, and flight controls. Rigging and systems operations.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must possess an A&P license.
  2. Must have narrow / widebody heavy maintenance experience, or equivalent.
  3. Troubleshoot aircraft systems and repair in accordance with approved data.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of aircraft systems.
  5. Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with no rework.
  6. Complete job assignments and required training and reading in a timely manner.  
  7. Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel by keeping leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable. Must have good working knowledge of air cargo / aircraft ground operations.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
