K-Bay Air in Homer Alaska has a fleet of 4 Cessna 206s on oversized wheels and 2 DHC-2 Beavers on floats. We are an on-demand 135 operator and primarily do seasonal tourism-related work performing beach landings, bear viewing tours, and sightseeing.
Currently, we are looking to hire a full-time year-round A&P mechanic and a summer seasonal full-time A&P mechanic. Summer duties would primarily be doing 100-hour inspections and fixing squawks with secondary duties of moving and fueling planes and cleaning as time permits. In the winter we do heavy maintenance and fleet upgrades.
The summer schedule is 5 days a week and will include weekends and evenings. Winters we work 4 days a week. We are willing to consider other scheduling options for the right candidate. Summer company housing is a possibility.
The successful candidate would be someone who takes pride in making the fleet a little better and enjoys being an essential part of the team.
