Your Role:
As a Mechanic at Coast Flight Training, your expertise ensures our fleet’s safety and readiness.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Maintain airworthiness of aircraft and components per FAA standards.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of aircraft systems including airframes, engines, hydraulics, and avionics.
- Perform inspections, certify workmanship, and ensure precision in all tasks.
- Keep maintenance records, complete paperwork, and uphold FAA compliance.
- Work collaboratively in a safe and organized environment, ensuring our fleet is always mission ready.
- (If qualified) Taxi and tow aircraft for maintenance.
- Add and maintain inventory
- Assure the shop/work area is maintained in a clean and orderly manner
Do You Have What It Takes?
We’re looking for candidates who embody precision, patience, and a commitment to safety. Our ideal team member meets the following qualifications:
- Minimum Age: 18
- License: Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license and state driver’s license.
- Tools: Core set of tools required
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication.
- Physical Ability: Lift up to 60 lbs. and distinguish colors.
- Legal Work Status: Possess the right to work in the U.S. and fluently speak/read/write in English.
- Preferred: General aviation experience
- Our Fleet: Piper Archer PA28-181, Cessna 17R&S, Piper Seminole PA44-180
