Job Description:

STS Line Maintenance is seeking highly motivated A&P Mechanics to join our growing line maintenance station in Minneapolis, MN (MSP). As an A&P Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will support the daily maintenance operations for our customers, ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of airworthiness and reliability.

We offer competitive pay rates ranging from $30 to $38 per hour, with potential bonuses based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aircraft Maintenance: Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment. Work will be performed on Airbus A320, Boeing B737, B757, B767, CRJ, and Embraer 170/190.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices.
  • Component Repair: Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documentation.
  • Precision Maintenance: Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace them as required.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity in all maintenance activities.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Perform maintenance tasks outdoors and in inclement weather as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Line Maintenance Station Manager, Station Leads, field airlines, flight crews, and other Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
  • Documentation: Accurately record and document all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no history of infractions.
  • Experience: Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft is a plus. Experience on Boeing 737, 757, 767, Airbus A320, ERJ 145/170/190, and CRJ 700/900 is strongly preferred.
  • Tools: Own a set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated and specialty tooling will be provided).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work standing, climb ladders and stairs, and lift 50 lbs. unassisted. Must pass background checks and drug/alcohol tests and obtain customs & border patrol clearance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications. Basic-to-mid-level computer and organizational skills are required.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Experience working under an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 environment is highly desired.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA): Having an IA license is a plus.
  • Versatility: Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on aircraft airframes and engines with minimal supervision.
  • Customer Focus: Superior customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic with a commitment to excellence.
Rate of Pay:
  • Pay rates range from $30 to $38 per hour, determined by previous experience.
  • Bonuses are available on a case-by-case basis, determined by experience.
  • Yearly raises are available upon evaluation.
