Job Description:

AMT/A&P/IA/DOM - Private company maintaining it's own fleet of 16, single engine, GA aircraft with minimal AOG/outside maintenance.  Solid core values with a close knit, family, working environment.   Prefer 1-5 years GA experience.  Ideal candidate would desire growth in responsibility and pay while working alongside the existing two mechanics and become lead Mechanic/IA within the next 3-5 years.  We are currently turning work away and only focusing on company aircraft until we reinforce our team.  Additional opportunities exist if you are a pilot but not required.  Pay starting at $40-$110k annually based cert level, experience and ability.  Benefits available include - Medical, Retirement, Paid Holidays, & Year End Employee Incentive Pay.  

Fleet consists of PA-18's, PA-12's (don't worry, we can teach you fabric work:-), C172's, 180hp C150's.  Almost all aircraft powered by 0-360's. 
 
Company has been in existence for 27 years and continues to grow.  Based out of KOBI (Woodbine Airport) 30 minutes from Atlantic City and Cape May, NJ.  Very touristy in Summer months and beautiful and quite in the late fall/winter mos with access to great fishing!  1hr 15min to Philadelphia and 2 hours from NY. 

 
Job Requirements:

Expected skill set:

  • Honesty, reliability, solid work ethic and ability to get along with others
  • High School Diploma or better
  • Certified A&P mechanic and willingness to build on experiences as necessary - such as working with fabric and becoming and IA.  Will consider AMT with solid foundation.
  • Willingness to live within 1 hour of Woodbine, NJ
  • Ability to work part time select weekends during peak banner operations (summer months) traded off with more down time in slow season.
  • Be reliable and able to work independently and/or with a team.
  • Once established as an employee, willingness to train new hires as may be necessary.

Description of tasks the jobholder has to adhere to independently:

  • Communicate and correspond both orally and in writing with suppliers, customers and the FAA in a polite and professional manner
  • Carry out mechanical and cosmetic reworks of various metal and fabric aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems
  • Replace electrical connectors, terminal lugs, and wires
  • Install equipment as per STC instructions or previously approved 337's.
  • Knowledge of how to properly complete FAA paperwork to include research and documentation of AD's
  • Willingness to expand on existing knowledge and grow with company.

Physical Requirements include but not limited to:

  • Ability to walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time. This includes walking rapidly from one job assignment to another or one hangar to another
  • Willingness to work more than 8-hour shift if needed
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crawl and/or climb stairs/ladder at any time as required for job assignments
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs or more

Experience:

  • Mechanic: 1-7 years (Preferred)
Salary Range: 40,000-110,000
