STRUCTURES MECHANIC
We are seeking a Rapid Response Mechanic with experience in sheet metal assembly and modifications, particularly for Boeing 737 aircraft. The role involves performing Material Review Board (MRB) work, final product verification (FPV), and modifications on structural components. Candidates will work independently or as part of a team across various sections to address and rectify issues or rework, ensuring the functionality and quality of the assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform modifications on sheet metal components and major structural assemblies
- Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete structural and system components
- Work from technical drawings, documents, and established procedures
- Perform functional testing to ensure the fit, form, and function of assemblies
- Work on aircraft doors, sub-assemblies, and sealing applications
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a plate test and demonstrate proficiency in countersinking, riveting, and installing fasteners
- Must be flexible and available to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
- Must have at least 10 years of structural assembly, sheet metal, or composite repair experience
Qualifications:
- Experience in sealing, sub-assembly, and aircraft door systems assembly
- Ability to use templates, jigs, and fixtures for assembly
- A&P certification with sheet metal experience is preferred
Compensation:
- Local: $53.00 per hour
- Non-local: $38.00 per hour + $166 per day per diem (5 days a week)
