What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking an Aircraft Mechanic with specialized experience in Low Observable Coatings to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining the operational integrity and safety of F-35 aircraft, ensuring they are flight-ready and meet rigorous mechanical standards. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of maintenance activities, including but not limited to:
• Executing maintenance, repair, launch, and recovery tasks on F-35 aircraft, ensuring all operations adhere to Joint Technical Data (JTD) protocols and relevant program and service guidelines.
• Conducting thorough inspections, regular maintenance, and servicing tasks to uphold aircraft safety and performance.
• Implementing Field-Level Modifications and adhering to Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) maintenance requirements.
• Delegating maintenance tasks to other team members, ensuring efficient workflow and task completion.
• Providing On-The-Job training to both team members and Partner aircraft maintenance personnel to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) within the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to accurately maintain and update aircraft records and status reports.
• Communicating effectively with the Production team, providing timely updates on aircraft availability and status.
• Fulfilling additional responsibilities as directed by the Aircraft Supervisor and the Associate Aircraft Maintenance Manager.

The position will require working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s).
Candidates should expect to depart on temporary duty assignments with short notice, dependent on customer or LM ICS needs to include stateside or overseas. This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations.

Position may also require extended work hours.

Candidate must be able to acquire and maintain a flight line drivers competency card.

Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry.

*Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an Interim clearance prior to start and maintain an Interim/Secret clearance through out the duration.

Basic Qualifications:
Requires minimum of 4 years hands-on working experience in 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft.

Should have 6 months of hands-on F-35 maintenance experience to include working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include, Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities.

LO application and coatings knowledge.

Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
Desired Skills:
An FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license is desirable.

Experience as an On-The-Job trainer.

Proficiency with LM’s F-35 Nose-to-Tail maintenance concept

Engine Run Certification, fighter aircraft crew escape systems (i.e. canopy and ejection seat), experience in fighter weapons loading and experience in structural repairs and low observable system maintenance are highly desirable
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
