**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**

GENERAL DESCIPTION:

  • Tyonek Services Group is providing aircraft maintenance and logistics services in support of the 128th Aviation Brigade training aircraft and component work requirements supporting the 128th Aviation Brigade training at Fort Eustis, VA. The support will be conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including but not limited to, AR 95-1 and AR 95-20.
  • Provide field and approved sustainment level maintenance of assigned and supported training aircraft, training support and training base equipment, and Ground Support Equipment.

DUTIES:

  • Disassembles friction dampers and hanger bearing assemblies
  • Disassembles, repairs, reassembles, adjusts, balances and aligns powertrain components, systems and subsystems to include main and tail rotor hub assemblies according to directives
  • Applies corrosion preventative procedures
  • Cleans, preserves and stores powertrain components
  • Uses and performs operator maintenance on ground support equipment, common and special tools
  • Maintains facilities for storage of flammable and hazardous materials
  • Requisitions and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft powertrain systems and subsystems
  • Prepares request for turn-ins and repair parts for powertrain components
  • Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • An FAA Airframe license preferred
  • Must have completed a military or vocational school and have 10 years of Army aviation maintenance experience or 6 years of verifiable T&E experience
  • RESET or depot experience is preferred
  • Must be able to read and following drawings and blueprints
  • For nondestructive technicians the following will apply: level II NDI/NDT inspectors certified and current in Eddy Current, X-ray, magnetic particle, florescent penetrant, and ultra sound inspection techniques.
  • Certified level II NDT/NDT in all areas mentioned above in accordance with NAS 410 or have NDI/NDT technician must have N2 Identifier with MOS
  • A previous holder of 68B/15B MOS is preferred
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of military technical manuals
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
