Position Purpose

Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions. 
  • Maintains aircraft hydraulic systems. 
  • Performs aircraft cleaning, corrosion prevention and treatment 
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems.
  • Fabricates simple to complex sheet metal repair parts and patches.
  • Facilitate and perform major structural replacement such fuselage skins, fittings and other structural members.
  • Uses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers’ drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Completes maintenance documentation accurately.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • Must have six (6) or more years of aircraft maintenance experience 
  • Must be Military MOS Skill qualified on specific or similar type model series or possess an Airframe A or A&P FAA Certification. 
  • Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component parts.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of permanent fastener removal and installations such as rivets, hi-loks, hucks, etc.
  • Experience with drilling and reaming.
  • Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and installations. 
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to attain and maintain a TSA/Homeland Airport Security Ramp Access Pass.
  • Must be able to pass a National Agency and Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
