Job Title: Aircraft Structures TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Technician to perform structural repairs, inspections, services, and modifications according to FAA regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprints, be skilled in working with sheet metal and composite materials, and be able to perform a variety of tasks related to aircraft maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural repairs on sheet metal and composite materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints for modifications and fabrications.
- Conduct inspections, repairs, services, and modifications in compliance with FAA regulations.
- Perform scheduled and special inspections, address discrepancies, and service systems.
- Determine malfunctions using standard tests and diagnostic equipment.
- Remove, inspect, assemble, and install major helicopter components and sub-assemblies.
- Service airframe parts, assemblies, and systems including engine, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and ambient systems.
- Support towing, parking, mooring, and storage of aircraft.
- Prepare aircraft for customer delivery, including washing and cleaning.
- Maintain detailed documentation of tasks performed, materials used, and time spent.
- Provide on-the-job training for co-workers.
- Travel as assigned to perform maintenance on company or customer aircraft.
- Support the shop with components wrapping, unwrapping, crating, and uncrating.
- Work with computers to document tasks performed.
- Follow FOD inspection criteria and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Essential Skills- 5-7 years of aviation experience.
- Experience with structural repairs on sheet metal and composite materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in performing inspections, repairs, services, and modifications according to FAA standards.
- Ability to work with diagnostic test equipment.
- Experience with helicopter dynamic components (preferred).
- Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in documenting work performed using computers.
- Knowledge of AS9100 regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Airframe License OR A&P license required
- Experience with airframe and powerplant maintenance.
