STS Technical Services is looking for a skilled Aircraft Support Mechanic in Atlanta to inspect, test, repair, maintain, and service aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, MD88/90, DC-9, and A319/320 aircraft types.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and repair aircraft systems and components to ensure airworthiness.
- Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and FAA-approved technical data to determine the feasibility of repairs.
- Modify aircraft structures and systems following engineering orders and technical publications.
- Perform visual inspections, operational checks, and troubleshooting for B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, MD88/90, DC-9, and A319/320 aircraft.
- Disassemble and reassemble aircraft components using hand tools and power tools.
- Service and maintain aircraft systems according to FAA standards.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Mechanical experience, ideally in aircraft maintenance.
- Proficient in using FAA-approved data and familiar with B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, MD88/90, DC-9, A319/320 aircraft types.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift at least 70 pounds and perform essential job functions.
- Must pass a fingerprint-based Criminal History Records check and a drug test as required by the FAA.
