Summary:
Perform aircraft electrical modifications, wiring installation, repairs, and troubleshooting on electrical and environmental systems.
Complete connector terminations, wire routing, sealing, bonding, tying, and wire harness/cable assembly in accordance with engineering and process specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, technical orders, retrofit requirements, and work instructions.
Perform operational testing, inspections, assembly, installation, and modification of aircraft electrical systems and wire bundles.
Troubleshoot assembly and aircraft system malfunctions at organizational and depot maintenance levels.
Utilize precision measuring tools and maintain compliance with safety, quality, hazardous energy, Lock Out/Tag Out, Tool Control, and FOD procedures.
Assist in training junior employees and support cross-functional teams including General Mechanics, Structures, and Avionics.
Maintain schedules, support rotating shifts/overtime, and perform work onsite in San Antonio.
Requirements:
4+ years of aircraft electrical modification, wiring, troubleshooting, or electrical/electronic systems experience.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and aircraft systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.
Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
Ability to work in confined spaces, on elevated platforms, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Ability to pass visual acuity/color perception testing and required training certifications.
Experience handling hazardous materials and following safety procedures.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
