Component Repair Mech II. Lead in the performance of inspection(s), operational test, repair and modification of aircraft systems and subsystems and components in accordance with technical publications.

- Complete and comply with On-the-Job Training (OJT), Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste (HW), Tool Control Program (TCP) and Egress Familiarization, Program and all safety regulations by site, city, state and federal.
- Qualify, perform and maintain collateral duty inspector (CDI).
- Lead in the completion of maintenance action forms (MAF) in NALCOMIS/OOMA.
- Lead ensuring aircraft parts and components are documented, tagged and turned in or disposed of.
- Lead in the evaluation of aircraft systems and subsystems for repair or replacement.
- Lead in identifying part(s), material(s) and tool requirement(s).
- Lead in the utilization of technical manuals, service bulletins, technical directives, schematics, drawings, blueprints, charts and other publications.
- Lead in the repair, test and modification of aircraft systems, subsystems and peripheral accessories.
- Lead with ordering part(s) and material(s).
- Lead in the identification and treatment of corrosion.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- Eight (8) years of experience with aircraft maintenance.
- Two (2) years of experience with aircraft component repair.
- Experience with T-6 and/or T-44 aircraft, preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, required.
- Qualify, perform and maintain non-destructive inspection (NDI).
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Climb, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, carry, balance and reach above shoulder level.
- Push or pull weight up to seventy (70) pounds.
- Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception, required.
- Normal hearing, required.
- Shift work.
- Work environment of a standard shop and hangar to inclement weather and extreme heat.
- Exposure to noise hazard.
- Handle required/approved hazardous material(s) as per material safety data (MSD).
- May be exposed to electrical shock hazard.
Travel
- As required for periods up to, or past 90 days.
