The Engineering Development Mechanic supports the building activities for mechanical assemblies, including heavy structure drill-out bonding, fastener installation, assembling components, and wire harness installations. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

• Fabricate, assemble, and utilize standard hand/power tools and precision instruments.
• Maintain accurate buyoffs of completed work, inspections, and non-conformances.
• Collaborate with engineers to suggest design changes and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and configuration control.
• Build, modify, install, troubleshoot, and repair components and structural assemblies.

• Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance, machine trades, or manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with composites, titanium, sheet metal, riveting, fastening, wiring, tubing, and basic machining.
• Familiarity with drawings, blueprints, and technical data.
• Proficient in the use of tooling such as torque wrenches, countersinks, drills, deburring tools, and calibrated equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication with engineers and teammates.
• 3+ years of experience in aircraft assembly, heavy structures, or related manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

• Certifications in AP specialty training or equivalent experience are desirable.
• Technical training in aerospace assembly is preferred.

The position requires the ability to work in confined spaces, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. This is a Contract position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
