Job Description:

NexGen Flight Solutions is looking for an experienced Director of Maintenance that meets the requirements of 14 CFR 119.71(e) to oversee the aircraft maintenance activities for their growing fleet of aircraft. The position will be responsible for ensuring that company aircraft are maintained to the highest standards for safety, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance. Set goals to improve aircraft availability, optimize maintenance downtimes, and provide the highest customer satisfaction.

Basic Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance organization to develop, improve, and implement maintenance policies and procedures in accordance with FAA regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Manage the aircraft maintenance programs, that encompass planning, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance activities.
  • Interview, supervise, and train maintenance personnel, ensuring that all personnel are properly licensed, trained, and qualified to perform their duties.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the maintenance records to ensure they are accurately maintained and up to date.
  • Work directly with the Safety Manager to develop and implement maintenance safety programs that ensure all maintenance personnel are properly trained and perform their duties in accordance with safety procedures to support the SMS program.
  • Responsible for the approval and oversight of the outsourced maintenance network to ensure they are qualified and properly trained to perform work on company aircraft.
Job Requirements:
  • Must meet the requirements in accordance with 14 CFR 119.71(e)
  • Preferred minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least 5 years of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and industry standards related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Experience with budgeting and cost management.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build, maintain and lead a team.

Location

  • Must work onsite at the company headquarters at Easton, MD and able to travel when needed to support operational needs
