Key Responsibilities:

  • Bench Repair & Testing: Overhaul helicopter powertrain components by disassembling, troubleshooting, repairing, reassembling, testing, and certifying systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters.
  • Inspection: Clean and inspect drive and rotor components and parts for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment.
  • Repair and Replacement: Replace or repair damaged or worn drive and rotor parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Reassembly and Testing: Reassemble, test, and document inspection findings and work performed/corrective actions in maintenance records.

Required Experience / Skills:

  • Disassembly and reassembly of helicopter powertrain components
  • Troubleshooting and repairing systems and related units
  • Reading and interpreting maintenance manuals
  • Using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment
  • Testing and certifying systems and related units

Job Type:

  • Long-term opportunity if desired!
  • Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 months.

Work Site:

  • Fully on-site position in Aurora, Oregon.

Work Environment:

  • Bench Repair and Testing: Work in a bench repair and testing environment in the Drive and Rotor shop, focusing on two primary areas: Transmissions and Rotors.
  • Schedule: Initial schedule of 5 days a week (8 AM - 4:30 PM), transitioning to a 4-day schedule (6 AM - 4:30 PM), either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.
