Summary The ElectroMechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing necessary tasks to assure the functionality of the facility and equipment. Essential Functions Adheres to plant and department safety rules, safely operate all equipment and tools, identifies and reports safety problems, corrects when possible. Troubleshoots and performs electrical and mechanical repairs on various types of equipment including furnaces, blast equipment, conveyors, pumps, and cranes. Performs mechanical assembly work on pumps, gearboxes, screws, and other industrial components. Install manufacturing machinery. Fabricates machinery, tool and equipment components as required to maintain systems. Provides technical assistance in design and selection of equipment. Welds overhead and vertical with stick and mig welders. Reads and interprets manuals, drawings and schematics for equipment. Completes compliance logs and records. Follows written and verbal instructions with a minimum amount of direct supervision. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree, Journeyman&39;s card, or equivalent training. 3-5 years&39; experience in repair/maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on industrial equipment. Competencies Working knowledge and experience with PLC&39;s, AC and DC motors & controls, drives, control circuits, power circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, and reading schematics. Must have experience operating mobile equipment, forklifts and boom lifts. Proficient in the basic use of a computer to facilitate the entry and completion of work orders in a CMMS system. Knowledgeable of Hazardous material handling protocols, OSHA safety standards, and NEC. Able to multi-task with shifting priorities and multiple interruptions Provide customer service to the operations team with a positive attitude and spirit of teamwork. Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as needed, including after hours and emergency support. Performs other related duties as assigned.
