Description:IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main (Sunnyvale/Palo Alto) unit, Santa Cruz, VAFB or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position.

Working from schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, verbal instructions and other
sources develop the physical configuration of operational electronics hardware and
establish the optimum method of testing prototype units.

Provide all missing information relative to the layout, fabrication operations and selection
of parts to meet operating requirements. Use all equipment/facilities necessary to make
and assemble materials and parts into operational hardware. Determine for subsequent
use by others the methods, techniques and sequences for making and assembling
parts.
Apply electronic principles to determine power handling and heat dissipation requirements, relative positions of parts and wire routing to minimize interaction, and select and use test equipment required to trouble-shoot fabrication anomalies, monitor functional characteristics and collect test data.
Determine the test method to accomplish functional alignment and proofing operations.
Basic Qualifications:
• Electronics theory equivalent to satisfactory completion of l year of electronics theory as presented by junior colleges and complete knowledge of electronics hardware fabrication techniques and systems testing.
• Ability to set up and use all necessary shop tools and fabrication equipment to completely build hardware from raw stock and discrete parts.
• Ability to select test equipment and perform tests on electronic hardware without aid of predetermined test procedures.

• Requires a minimum of two years of experience performing layout, fabrication and testing of prototype electronics assemblies.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

The base range for this position in California is $27.63 - $50.79.
