What you can expect as an AOG Technician at West Star:
This position will require the AOG Technician to work in Bermuda on a rotating schedule. This position will have a rotating schedule of two weeks (14 days) on and two weeks (14 days) off. The Technicians will be responsible for completing time-sensitive aircraft repairs in the field. This position requires the technician to display a professional demeanor and project this atmosphere to our customers while working in an unfamiliar location. Technician must understand and be willing to work different and rotating shifts as required. This challenging position is critical to providing our customers the same exceptional service they are accustomed to wherever their aircraft may be while working with minimal supervision. Housing will also be provided.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
- Perform AOG and line maintenance on EMB 170/175.
- Perform a wide range of maintenance duties to include inspections, testing, repair, and servicing of aircraft.
- Perform maintenance IAW with FAA approved technical data and WSA Certified Repair Station guidelines.
- Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Maintenance shop cleanup, organization, and basic office duties.
- Accurately complete all appropriate maintenance, work order, and RTS paperwork.
- Assist with managing small inventory.
- Assist in logistics and purchasing of parts required for the job.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and a valid passport are mandatory.
Your Experience:
Must have 3+ years of experience as an A&P on Embraer 170/175.
Your Initiative:
We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
Your Sense of Responsibility:
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
