Position Overview:
Honeywells Field Service Technicians are responsible for effectively providingservices to support the on-site installation, start-up, maintenance, andoperation of automation control systems & advanced manufacturing softwareapplications, drive systems, manufacturing systems, industrial networks and theindividual products which comprise these systems.

Your Focus:
You will focus on providing customers with maintenance and modernizationservices on Honeywells DCS Platforms.  The role requires you to beself-supporting and includes on-site maintenance, performing system diagnostics& analysis, troubleshooting problems, installing new systems &replacing parts.

18-month Honeywell Training & Certification Program:
Commitment of 18 months to obtain and maintain L3 CEAT certification whileperforming normal job duties.

Compensation:
Our current Field Service Technicians earn between (85-100k) which includeshourly pay + Overtime (1.5 x hourly rate)

Work & Travel Schedule:
Typical work week isMonday - Friday (8am - 5pm) with ability to work overtime when needed.
Be available for offhour "Emergency On-Call" as needed.
Depending on theservice requirements for a particular customer or region, this position mayrequire significant travel as well as overnight travel
The territory forthis role is 50 of the time in Colorado and 50 of the time in variouswestern regions.

Company Vehicle / Travel Expenses:
Company vehicle isprovided - Must have valid drivers license.
Corporate Travelcard will be offered to pay for expenses (No expenses come out of your pocket)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Commitment of 18month to Honeywell Training & Certification Program while performing normaljob duties.
  • 1+ year prior fieldservice experience in supporting technical or engineering services or Militaryexperience in electronics programs may be considered equivalent to this typicalqualification
  • Basic understandingof networking and electrical theory
  • 1+ years ofexperience using Basic Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience workingwith Operator HMI (Panels & Touchscreens)
  • Strong written andverbal communication skills must be able to clearly articulate messages bothtechnical and non-technical.
  • Ability to beself-motivated and willingness to work in demanding environments with little orno supervision and take initiative to be proactive.
  • Ability to diagnosemalfunctioning electrical systems and perform preventive maintenance usingelectrical test equipment
  • Experience orknowledge reading electrical drawings and utilize for troubleshootingelectrical systems
  • As a Field Service Technician, you will:
  • Maintain Honeywellssuite of (DCS) quality control hardware and software and handle customerquestions about the state of the system.
  • Sustain proficiencyin all products and services that the company offers. This includes stayingcurrent with installation standard methodologies, equipment protocol, andsafety guidelines.
  • Provide on-sitepre-start-up, start-up, contracted service work, warranty, troubleshooting, andtraining of Honeywell products, and ensure equipment is operational and free ofdefects.
  • Accurately documentthe work that is performed at a customer facility and/or project staging area.Professionally document work completed on periodic preventive maintenance aswell as intermittent corrective maintenance tasks
  • Handle customerservice-related issues while fostering the customer relationship and working tosolve technical problems on site.
  • Deal directly withand communicate effectively with plant operators, plant management, 3rd partyvendors and other
  • Honeywell personnelin support of service operations
  • Troubleshoot andrepair equipment applying own technical knowledge and experience to resolveproblems.
  • Accurately documentthe work that is performed at a customer facility and/or project staging area.Professionally document work completed on periodic preventive maintenance aswell as intermittent corrective maintenance tasks
  • Review productprints and specifications.
  • When required, playan active role in various projects such as upgrades, new installations, or newfunctionality for customers
  • Work withcontractors to review and ensure the unit/package is installed tospecifications.
  • Coordinate work withother groups to ensure meeting commitments

The salary range for this position in Colorado is: (85,000 to $100,000, which includes hourly pay + Overtime (1.5 x hourly rate)
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

  • YOU MUST HAVE
  • 1 year of professional experience in an engineering or technical field/and or Military experience in electronics programs may be considered equivalent to this typical qualification.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and stand 8 hours per day.
  • 1 year of experience using Basic Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications
  • Be able to perform frequent climbing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
  • Engineering or technical fields may include field service,technical operations, industrial maintenance, process automation, heavymanufacturing, prior military experience, development and/or reliabilityengineering, etc.

  • Previous experience working in a Field Service Technician position
  • Previous technical/installation experience
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; capable of learning available analysis tools to solve complex system or process problems
