Job Description:

R&R Conner Helicopters is looking for experienced helicopter field mechanics for field maintenance of UH-1B model Huey Helicopters. Operations are 133/137 and helicopters are maintained under part 91.

Position requires mechanic to maintain the helicopter in a ready and airworthy condition, as well as performing maintenance and inspections on all equipment associated with the helicopter portion of operations, including long lines, hooks, buckets, service van and generators.  Position requires scheduling maintenance for rotating parts, and maintaining daily logs books, airframe and engine log books.  There are expectations of excellence in communication, profitability, teamwork, ethical principles, and loyalty to R&R Conner Helicopters.  There are expectations of cleanliness and organization for the helicopters, tools, service landing, work and storage areas. 

Special considerations for applicants with a CDL and Haz-Mat certification, along with an increase in pay rate. 

Physical hangar location is in Conner, Montana , but this position is field work in various states to include CO, MT, ID, and other western states. Occasional hangar shifts may be required. Scheduling calls for two weeks on and two weeks off, but has some flexibility. Must live on job site with helicopter when on shift. Per Diem is provided, but living quarters are not.  Travel to and from job location is paid for.

Job Requirements:
  • A&P Licensed mechanic with 5 years minimum experience maintaining rotorcraft, experience with Bell UH-1 models strongly preferred.
  • Will work and live on job site service landings and coordinate with the Director of Maintenance in order to document and maintain all rotorcraft IAW all applicable standards and regulations.
  • Inspection and repair of helicopter and components.
  • Annual/100HR, 300/600 & 1200HR inspections as well as other inspections and maintenance.
  • Removal, reinstallation and replacement of major components such as main rotor and tail rotor blades, main transmissions, tail rotor gear boxes, main rotor and tail rotor hub assemblies. Tail rotor balance, main rotor track and balance.
  • Component inspection and overhaul of mentioned components as possible.
