Summary/Objective

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IA & A&P Certified Aircraft Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with smaller aircraft and possess both IA (Inspection Authorization) and A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) certifications. Additionally, management experience is preferred as the will require you to oversee day to day operations of the shop.

Essential Functions

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections on smaller aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on aircraft systems and components.
  • Complete necessary documentation and maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with other maintenance personnel and departments to ensure efficient workflow and aircraft availability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior mechanics and apprentices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Stay current with advances in aircraft technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
Job Requirements:
  • IA (Inspection Authorization) and A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) certifications are required.
  • Extensive experience working with smaller aircraft, including single-engine and light twin-engine aircraft.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex aircraft systems and components.
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Management experience preferred, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of mechanics.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
