Job Description:

Visually, dimensionally, and functionally inspection precision assemblies, instruments, systems, and/or environmental qualifications test. Make final inspection of propulsion products preparatory to field test and/or shipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Read and interpret information from planning documents, drawings, specifications, engineering orders, quality assurance procedures, schematics and diagrams to plan methods and procedures to inspect assemblies for dimensional accuracy and soundness along with performing pressure test set up and check out along with leak test inspection.
  • Inspect stack up and final Assemblies.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of assembly inspection methods and workmanship standards and perform visual and dimensional inspection of assemblies for dimensional accuracy.
  • Visually and physically check precision measuring instruments, sine and surface plates, height and radius gauges, comparators, check fixtures.
  • Perform pressure test and leak tests.
  • Record and maintain or verify test data and records manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-based system.
  • Stamp off or otherwise accept or reject assembly and test data.
  • Must meet the minimum requirements for the vision test.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience performing precision assembly inspection along with pressure test inspection with aerospace hardware experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • Experience accessing on-line documents, work instructions and report results.
  • Experience working in or working knowledge of clean room and controlled environment operations.
  • Experience in using inspection gauges and equipment:
    • Torque Meters
    • Graduated scales, Calipers and Micrometers
    • Height gauges
  • Experience with material handling and using material handling devices (pallet jacks, overhead cranes, etc).
  • Experience in reading pressure, temperature and leak test gauges.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $53,268.80 - $105,227.20. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
