As an NDT Inspector, you will perform approved NDT (non-destructive testing) inspection including fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, X-Ray, and visual to document the servicing and repair of gas turbine engines, aircraft components, parts or accessories in accordance with the Repair Station Manual, Airworthiness Regulations, manufacturers’ specifications, approved technical data and policies/procedures.
What youll do:
Perform chemical clean and non-destructive inspection of gas turbine engines module and component parts in accordance with respect to applicable manual and approved instructions
Location of defects in various materials, components and structures with a high probability of detection
Ensure that all engine parts are detected for defects according to the prescribed standards and procedures
Examine, interpret and evaluate test results with regard to applicable standards
Record findings and test results
Conduct scheduled system performance checks
Interpret EM Manuals and applicable CIR for Engine Models
Read updates on maintenance manuals, service bulletins, other specifications and regulatory requirements
Performs general facility and equipment maintenance including 6s housekeeping
Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality
Observe all applicable safety practices
Model behaviors consistent with good quality, health and safety, and environmental management practices.
What youll need:
GCE " N" or "O" Level / Nitec/ Higher Nitec / Diploma from a Technical discipline or equivalent
NAS 410 FPI Level 2 / MPI Level 2
Qualified NPT Level 2 Inspector in FPI, MPI or ECI methods
No colour perception deficiency
Familiar with the relevant airworthiness and regulatory agencies requirements
Minimum of 2 years manual machining experience
Ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Able to support occasional overtime work
