The position is related with responsibility for executing all activities associated with hardware ownership of LM6000 components including design, field support, cost reduction, field repairs.

On this position you will have opportunity to gain broad experience working on different types of hardware on the cold side of the engine, for example Low Pressure Compressor disks, blades or casings. Based on this posting you can be hired to LM6000 cold sub-section.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

The lead engineer responsibility is to lead assigned projects and demonstrate accountability in communicating business goals, programs and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and could affect short-term business goals.

  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned individual and team projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.

  • Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues

  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

  • Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements

  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned project and/or tasks consistent with engineering polices and procedures.

  • Develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues/ problems

  • Consulting assigned tasks with technical experts, seniors & principal engineers.

  • Provide technical leadership to cross functional teams supporting the assigned project

Qualifications:

  • MSc/BSc in Engineering

  • Experience relevant to indicated position area of expertise

  • Good level of English

Desired Characteristic:

  • Knowledge of the finite element methodology

  • Proficiency in engineering programs: Ansys Mechanical, Hypermesh, NX

  • GD&T basics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong technical attitude related to components and systems of increasing complexity.
