Description:Performs fluid maintenance, which would include adding lubricants and coolant to the various containers located on all machines. Changing and cleaning filters supporting these same containers. Performs according to schedule and manufacturers specification, such typical operations as oiling and greasing machines and mechanical equipment; cleaning areas to be serviced before oiling, wiping off excess oil and grease, draining, cleaning, and replenishing oil reservoirs, grease cups and coolant pumps; cleaning and wiping machinery. Performs coolant maintenance (adding coolant concentration or DI water, mixes coolant, removes old coolant, then replaces, checks coolant concentricity and cleans coolant tanks). Replace oil filter elements and maintains lubrication and fluid records and charts. Reports to supervision any noises, excessive wear in pulleys, bearings and/or shafts, worn belts, loose cowlings, etc., when noted during the scheduled equipment lubrication or fluid maintenance. Performs minor adjustments on equipment such as adjusting belts, tightening hoods, etc., as found necessary while engaged in scheduled equipment lubrication or fluid maintenance. Assists higher graded employees in the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Must have knowledge of lubricants, such as viscosity and points of use. Must be able to use a refractometer to determine coolant concentricity. Must be able to determine correct oil filter replacements and administer the proper amount of lubricant to bearings. Must be able to operate coolant sump truck. Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift.
Desired Skills:
2 years of related experience maintaining fluids on CNC equipment or 1-year Technical degree or equivalent in related discipline. Experience with Mazak mills and lathes, Mitsui Seiki mills, Hass milling machines or Tecport coating chamber. Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of mechanical tools, such as wrenches and other hand tools.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
